Add Thunderbird Station to your weekend brunch rotation.
The Deep Ellum spot, housed in one of Dallas’ oldest buildings, just expanded its menu to cater to brunch-going neighbors. It’s owned by Kim Finch, the woman behind Single Wide and Double Wide.
Find the full brunch menu online. Here are a few highlights:
- The changa of champs: It’s a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast burrito that’s fried until crispy and golden brown. Neighbors have the option to “make it deluxe” for $3, adding cheese sauce, tomato, green onion, jalapeños, onions and sour cream.
- Frito pie and egg
- Sloppy Jolene and egg: A vegan sloppy joe with an egg, served with hash browns
- Sticky shifters: Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast sticks with syrup and house-made vanilla-cinnamon whipped cream
Thunderbird has also created a brunch drink menu, complete with mimosas, a mojito, a Campari Ferrari and a list of other specialty cocktails.
Brunch will be served noon-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Thunderbird Station is located at 3400 Commerce St.
