Designers are chosen to curate vignettes from sourced and donated furniture, artwork, and home decor items. All items in these
stunning designer vignettes are available for sale at steeply discounted prices. All proceeds from Thrift Studio directly support Dwell with Dignity’s transformative mission, helping change lives through the power of design.

Each time people come to the studio they can expect a new shopping experience. The prices are intended to be inclusive so anyone can shop here.

Since 2009 the pop-up has helped redo the space of 24 family homes, and 10 communities. The price to redo a space can range anywhere from $7,500 to over $25,000, it’s an extreme home makeover serving over 19,000 people.

“A lot of times the families that we serve are sleeping on pool mattresses, they don’t have the resources, the time or the money to be able to put a home together,”  said.

Not being able to put a home together can cause distress and anxiety. By providing basic necessities for a home, families have the opportunity to succeed and thrive in their living space, she said.

It’s more than just having essential household items such as a desk to write on or a bed for a good night’s rest, said. It’s about creating a community that cares and will do what it takes to show their support.

“I have been in the same situation as a single mother and I understand how important it is to feel loved by your community,” she said.

People who may not be thrift shoppers can help by volunteering or donate on their website.

The pop-up will be located at 1833 E. Levee Street, Dallas, Texas 75207. It will only be accessible from Aug. 25 to Oct. 7. The days of operation will be Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
