Woodrow Wilson High School is putting on it’s annual musical this weekend. This year, they are putting on one of the longest running Broadway musicals of all time- Beauty and the Beast. It runs Thursday through Saturday night at 7:30, and is at 2:30 on Sunday. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $18 for reserved seating at the door, or can be ordered beforehand online.
Dallas Kids Read is this Saturday. This annual event dedicated to the growth of literacy rates in children happens this weekend in all 25 branch libraries, but the big event is at NorthPark Mall. From 1-6 pm on Saturday, local celebrities and authors will be reading in between Nordstrom and Macy’s. It’s free for the whole family.
Art for Darfur is going to be holding the auction for all the art that was donated to them on Saturday night at the Owens Art Center at SMU. The bidding starts at 6pm and ends at 7:30. It’s $15 for adults, $5 for students, and all proceeds are being donated to Darfur Peace and Development.
