Looking for a community Easter egg hunt? Here are a few neighborhood suggestions, plus a couple other weekend events around town:

Ears up! Skillman Church’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is around the corner and open to the community. Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m.-11:30 am. Egg hunts for different age groups, plus lots of other activities for the kids. The event is free, but bring a little money so you can buy tickets for the giant Easter basket raffles.

This spring marks the 30th anniversary of the Dallas Arboretum’s Dallas Blooms event, which is running through Easter weekend, April 20 to fully showcase the garden as it features more than 500,000 spring-blossoming bulbs burst, and the beloved peacock topiaries return to spread their colorful petal tails in the Jonsson Color Garden. The Dallas Arboretum is also hosting its annual Easter Brunch at the Arboretum, as well as its annual easter egg hunt (for members only). Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland, dallasarboretum.org, 214.515.6500, $10-$15, plus $10 for onsite parking.

Dallas ISD’s Vision Program and the AT&T Pioneers are sponsoring a “Beeping Egg Hunt” for visually impaired students and their families at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 at Flag Pole Hill. Prior to the egg hunt, children will enjoy games and crafts, Radio Disney, and a petting zoo. This event is closed to the public. Eligible students have already received invitations.

Through April 27, the White Rock Lake Museum (located inside the Bath House Cultural Center) presents Flora Et Lux, an exhibition of photographs by Dallas artist Sandra Freeman. The exhibition features sepia toned images of flowers and dried plants including magnolias, calla lilies, amaryllis and seedpods. Read more.

East Dallas non-profit Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center‘s seventh annual luncheon, Appetite for Advocacy, which will feature keynote speaker Diana Nyad, will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 12 p.m., at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, 400 N. Olive Street.
