  • This Saturday, March 8, the Bath House Cultural Center is hosting its International Women’s Day celebration from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m., which will be full of food, music and lots of praise for women. Read the event page for more details.
  • The Danielle Georgiou Dance Group is premiering a new dance work, “Dirty Filthy Diamonds,” at the Margo Jones Theatre in Fair Park through March 8. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.
  • Lakewood resident Nina Lowe, co-founder of Front Door Fashion in the Design District is hosting ‘Meet Your Stylist’ this Saturday, March 8 so to “ensure the ladies of Dallas and beyond know that they too can have a Hollywood-esque stylist yet with no cost or premium markups on the fashions put together for them,” the press release says. The Design District Style Lounge and studio, at 2251 Vantage St., which is typically closed to walk in traffic, is open from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on this special Saturday where ladies can drop in, enjoy mimosas, hors d’ oeuvres and visit with professionals on their fashion goals and challenges. The FDF founders and stylists will also offer to help guests with the FDF Style Profile and grant a sneak peek at their latest arrivals. The event is free.
  • Woodrow Wilson High School band is hosting a poker tournament fundraiser on Thursday. The event will be at Times Ten Cellars, 6324 Prospect Avenue, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Entry is $85. Read more on the event page.
