Get in the spirit of fall with hayrides, pumpkin carving contests and a movie on the lawn. Glencoe Park Neighborhood and Mockingbird Community Church host a Pumpkin Festival this Saturday from 4-7 p.m. It’s totally free.

Let’s get weird. That’s the theme of the family-friendly halloween party at Lakewood taproom. There will be food, beer and “weird entertainment.” What is weird entertainment? Good question. It includes a .5k fun run, face painting, wild bird viewings, psychic readings and a showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Venture a little outside the neighborhood for Deep Ellum’s Halloween-themed Outdoor Market. There will be music, food, clothes, decor and more. The market runs from 1-7 p.m.

Go on the American Institute of Architects home tour through Dallas and see which Lakewood homes made the cut. This home tour will take you all around the city showing innovative and outstanding residential design. Thankfully this event is also on Sunday.
