The restaurant that originally had a Brazilian-inspired menu and opened in 2021 will utilize live-fire cooking in its comeback.

“This menu is about finding finesse in simplicity,” Executive Chef Eduardo Osorio said in the press release. “Cooking over fire brings out layers of flavor that feel both soulful and celebratory. We’ve created food meant to be shared, approachable dishes that bring people together while still carrying the craftsmanship and creativity that define The Village’s culinary culture.”

According to a press release, the signature dishes and drinks include:

  • Wagyu Tallow Seared Oysters with pancetta and espelette
  • Foie & Sea Island Cornbread, topped with brown butter and optional caviar applied tableside
  • Buzzed & Aged Burger with gruyere and caramelized onions
  • Lumache Lamb Bolognese
  • Snake River White Sturgeon with chanterelles and creamed leeks
  • Dry-aged steaks, including a 21-Day Dry Aged Ribeye with smoked tomato bordelaise.

  • Woodfired Negroni with ember-roasted walnut and Pechuga mezcal
  • Extroverted Old Fashion with winter bitters and High West Midwinter Nights Dram
  •  Truffle the Night Martini, an espresso martini finished with vanilla and truffle
  • Get Figgy With It, a mocktail with red delicious tea, fig and allspice
  • A wine list with French, Italian, Californian and local selections as well as local beer and whiskey.

Meridian will also have a monthly tasting menu starting later this year and host Sunday Supper ($99), the latter of which includes whole fried chicken with cornbread, charred broccolini, pimento grits and dessert for three to four guests. A fifth of Sunday Supper sales will go toward the Dallas nonprofit Meat Fight that supports people who have multiple sclerosis.

“Warm, moody and inviting” is how the new space is supposed to feel, according to the press release. Design elements include velvet drapery, a custom backlit art installation, gold accents, new lounge seating, a raindrop-inspired chandelier and an expanded patio. The space also now has a chef’s table and The Ember Room for private dining that accommodates 50 seated guests or 60 for cocktails.

“This version of Meridian is about bringing people in more often, for cocktails after work, for dinner with friends, or for celebrating with family,” The Village’s Vice President of Food & Beverage Brandy Spence said in the press release. “We wanted to build something built around community, a place that feels welcoming while delivering the exceptional food and hospitality that defines Meridian.”
