We all know the big green Greenville Avenue extravaganza rolls this weekend, as is tradition every March 17-preceding Saturday. (as Marlena points out below) But that’s not the only Irish fest in town. For instance, this sounds pretty cool—Idle Rich Pub, 2614 McKinney, is hosting a two-day (Saturday and Monday) party. This is the music-centered party after the party for those Greenville-Ave. soldiers who can still stand up. Bridges and Blinking Lights takes the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday and Johnathan Tyler and the Northern Lights go on at 10:30 p.m.—but it gets even awesomer (Yes, awesomer is a word, but only on Saturday Night Live). On Monday, March 17, Blood Red Sky, a U2 tribute band plays at 5 p.m., Irish dancers at 7 p.m.; and the Killdares at 7:30 p.m. and the beer guzzling tribute to little green guys in tights continues until 10 p.m.
