All locations of Val’s Cheesecakes will be closed for a couple of days to test employees for the coronavirus.

The move comes after an employee’s relative’s co-worker (you following?) got tested for the virus. It is not known if the person or any of the Val’s Cheesecakes staff tested positive.

“We’re not taking any chances,” owner Valery Jean-Bart said on Instagram. “We want to make sure we do this right and stay safe because lives matter more than dollars.”

Both locations will be fumigated before reopening.

These neighborhood restaurants have recorded a positive coronavirus test, according to a list compiled by the Dallas Morning News:

  • Vantina on Lowest Greenville
  • The Skellig in East Dallas
  • Lakewood Smokehouse in Lakewood
  • Alamo Club on Lower Greenville
