East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman Sherryl Wesson, formerly a sales agent with RE/MAX About Town, recently was appointed office manager of Ebby Halliday’s Lake Highlands office at 9730 Audelia.
Wesson replaces 63-year-old Madge Green, who retired after 10 years as Lake Highlands branch manager. Green worked with Ebby Halliday for 26 years.
“I feel wonderful about doing this,” says the 50-year-old Wesson. “It’s a great opportunity. Madge built a great foundation.”
Green is retiring to spend more time with her family, she says.
“I’m so emotional,” Green says. “It’s hard to go, but I’m leaving the company in good hands. There are a lot of things I’ll miss, especially the people.”
While with Ebby, Green says she doubled the number of sales agents in the Lake Highlands office, which now employs 40, and increased the office’s market share.
Green says she hopes Wesson can increase the company’s presence in Lakewood and the surrounding area due to her neighborhood involvement with the Chamber.
Wesson has been a neighborhood real estate agent for more than 10 years.
