Earlier this week Deep Ellum shut down when Dallas Police and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team of the Dallas Fire-Rescue were called out because of “a suspicious package” left in front of a Uplift campus on Elm, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The Dallas Observer posted a roundup of the best five neighborhoods in Dallas and three East Dallas hotspots were on the list — Lower Greenville, Deep Ellum and Lakewood. Read what they had to say.
