Police have arrested a man they suspect is responsible for a string of carjackings in the Mockingbird Lane area. A photo lineup is underway now, and the man has not yet been charged.
Police responded about 9 p.m. Monday to a carjacking in the parking lot of a Kwik Wash self-serve laundry on Abrams. A patrol officer spotted the stolen vehicle near Mockingbird and Central Expressway, and the suspect was arrested after a chase. The man, who has not been identified pending criminal charges, admitted to several carjackings, but not the one on Martel last week, which involved two children.
The Dallas Police Department is expected to have a media conference at 1 p.m.. We will have more on the story this afternoon.
