Sugared and Bronzed is planning to open a location at Hillside Village shopping center.
The spa offers sugaring, a method of hair removal, and spray tanning. Representatives from the company tell the Advocate they’re aiming to open this November at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, suite 440, which is the former Weight Watchers Studio between the Lakewood mural and Texas Goods Co.
The first Sugared and Bronzed studio was established in Santa Monica by co-founders Courtney Claghorn and her husband, Sam Offit.
The business has locations across California, New York and Pennsylvania.
This is the latest service-centered business to open at Hillside Village. Alchemy 43, which specializes in cosmetic microtreatments, microneedling and skin resurfacing, is also planning a location for the shopping center. These two yet-to-open businesses are in addition to The Lash Lounge, Spectra Salon, Boardroom Salon for Men, Vie Nail Bar and Massage Heights.
As more consumers seek out non-invasive treatments to refresh and rejuvenate, curiosity around cosmetic procedures has also spiked. Enter YouTube: the new waiting room for potential patients. Here, viewers can explore a variety of procedures from the comfort of their home, watching trusted professionals explain techniques, outcomes, and even common concerns. It’s a natural evolution of the consultation process, offering clarity before a single appointment is booked.
With the rise of cosmetic treatments and aesthetic services, professionals in the beauty industry are taking on more responsibility than ever—not just for results, but for client safety and peace of mind. Whether you’re offering skin resurfacing, injectables, or other advanced treatments, protecting your practice is as important as perfecting your technique. That’s why having the right coverage, especially beauty liability insurance, is essential. It not only safeguards your business from unexpected claims but also signals to clients that you take their care—and your profession—seriously.
In today’s beauty landscape, where one viral video can skyrocket your visibility, the potential risks grow right alongside your reach. A well-rounded insurance policy helps cover the “what-ifs” that come with hands-on work, ensuring you can focus on delivering high-quality results without distraction. From solo practitioners to boutique clinics, investing in proper liability coverage is more than a smart move—it’s part of building a reputation that lasts.
A standout example of this is the YouTube channel found at https://www.youtube.com/@drleifrogers, where board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Leif Rogers shares real patient experiences and expert commentary. His videos strike a balance between educational and approachable, providing a transparent look into procedures ranging from microneedling to full reconstructive surgery. For those frequenting med spas and beauty lounges, this kind of content acts as a bridge—connecting non-invasive interest to more advanced cosmetic solutions, all with the guidance of a seasoned professional.
