Miller, who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, is one of several artists playing in the WisdomSound concert. Steve Miller Band will be joined by Cher, Maggie Rogers, Norah Jones, Jon Batiste and more.

The concert will benefit the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and Nagi Nunnery.

Along with the musical performances, there will be videos showcasing life at the monastery and introducing viewers to the philosophical and meditation traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.

WisdomSound is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 8. Though the livestream is free, donations are encouraged. Register for the concert here.

Miller recently celebrated his 78th birthday. The band also announced on Twitter that Byron Allred, an early member of Steve Miller Band, died.
