Construction and cakes, Society Bakery is still undergoing design at their new location, 1926 Skillman at the Skillman Live Oak Center. The local patisserie recently relocated from Greenville Avenue.
The modern space will feature giant green French doors, neutral color accents, event space for birthdays, bridal showers and baby showers, a bar for champagne or beer and a tea room for dining.
Many Society Bakery fans requested a space to host their parties, but the previous space wasn’t large enough to meet the demand, owner Roshi Muns said. Once the lease was up, she knew it was time to expand elsewhere.
“I love the neighborhood,” Muns said. “It was important for me to stay in East Dallas because I live in East Dallas and I love East Dallas.”
There is no set date for when the location will open, however, Muns is excited to welcome neighbors into the new space soon.
