Store Captain Karen Campbell gave us a sneak peek of the store, which is ready and waiting for guests to come by and peruse its shelves. Here’s some things you want to look for when you go:

1. These murals, plus many others like them, which were painted onto the store walls by East Dallas artist Courtney Miles. Miles is a crew member at the Trader Joe’s on Lower Greenville, so you might meet her there someday! She painted 15 murals in all.

2. The bells by the cash registers. If you’ve never been to Trader Joe’s, you might not know that they use bells instead of a PA system. Their website describes it as being “kind of like Trader Joe’s morse code.” One bell lets their crew members know when to open another register, two bells mean there are additional questions that need to be answered at the checkout, and three bells call over a manager-type person (such as store captain Karen Campbell pictured below). Plus, like anything else ear-piercingly loud, the bell system a hit with the kiddos.

3. Trader Joe’s signature Charles Shaw wine, which is both delicious and head-scratchingly cheap. Try it once and you might find yourself making Trader Joe’s wine runs in the future. There are certainly more expensive habits.

4.  While touring the store, Campbell divulged her three favorite Trader Joe’s products. She says she “could eat Trader Joe’s food every day,” which I’ve always thought says a lot about a store or restaurant. Here’s her top three guilty pleasures:

The frozen dinners, particularly the Chicken Serenada.
