Simpsons-themed pop-up will temporarily take over The Whippersnapper and its next door neighbor, High Fives, starting June 11. The Whip will become Moe’s Tavern, and High Fives will become Krusty Burger.

The bars are located within walking distance from each other at 1804 and 1806 McMillan Ave. and are both owned by This and That Hospitality. In the past, the group has turned The Whippersnapper into spoofs from Harry Potter, The Office and Breaking Bad. This time, the company wanted to go big.

“We’ve certainly had our eyes on doing a Simpsons-themed pop-up since we started doing these,” This and That Hospitality co-founder Phillip Schanbaum said. “The Simpsons set the bar for any and all animated series. Thirty-two seasons, 705 episodes. It’s generational. With so many iconic Simpsons moments, we wanted to rope in our sister spot next door.”

The two-month pop-up will serve a 40-ounce Miller High Life called “Duff” beer and a Butterfinger shot made with peanut butter-flavored whiskey and a chocolate rim. Try the Lil Lisa’s Slurry, a strawberry-lemon drink with vodka, and other cocktails named after the fictional characters.

At High Fives, the menu includes a Krusty Burger, of course, and a Sideshow Bob footlong hot dog.

Moe’s Tavern will be open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Krusty Burger will be open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday-Friday and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday-Sunday.
