A 14-year-old died in a shooting Saturday in Old East Dallas.
The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting call at 4900 Alton Ave. near the Old East Dallas Work Yard Park around 12:55 a.m. Saturday.
The 14-year-old boy, Jordan Perez, was shot in the head, and the police also found a 19-year-old man shot in the hand. Perez was a student at J.L. Long Middle School.
Both of them were taken to a hospital, and the 14-year-old died. The older one is in stable condition, according to the police department.
An investigation is ongoing.
