A seafood restaurant in our neighborhood has added four items to its menu.
Shell Shack, located on Henderson Avenue near Belmont Avenue, is now serving two new fish dishes, a new pasta and a new dessert option. The offerings are available at all of the restaurant’s locations in D-FW, Houston and Florida.
The restaurant is just steps away from the former Jakes Burgers & Beer space, which is set to become a new restaurant called Mayer’s Garden.
“Our menu is anchored by mainstay dishes, like our seasonal crabs, the catfish plate and even non-seafood options, like a great burger and Buffalo wings,” said restaurant founder Dallas Hale. “But that doesn’t mean we stop tinkering in the kitchen, as we’re always looking to improve our offerings.”
The mahi-mahi wrap includes fresh fish served in a spinach-herb wrap with lettuce, tomato, onion, Parmesan cheese and homemade tartar sauce. It comes with a side of French fries and costs $12.99.
Another option is the mahi-mahi plate, with two pieces of the fish alongside steamed white rice and broccoli. It’s priced at $14.99.
The Shell Shack pasta is pasta tossed with Alfredo sauce and a choice of chicken or shrimp. Without meat, it’s $10.99. With chicken, it’s $12.99. With shrimp, it’s $15.99.
Neighbors with a sweet tooth can now order the apple pie, which comes with two deep-fried pies, for $6.99.
Shell Shack is located at 2326 N. Henderson Ave. It is open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Sunday.
