The Shakespeare Dallas Shakespeare in the Park series opens Friday with a performance of "The Taming of the Shrew" at Samuell-Grand Park. This interpretation of The Bard’s battle-of-the-sexes tale is set in the Old West. The show gets warmed up with preview performances tonight and Thursday. For tonight, Thursday and Sunday, a $10 donation is requested. Tickets for Friday and Saturday shows are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.
The company also is performing "The Merry Wives of Windsor, TX," which is set in 1965. That show opens June 27.
Both shows are at the Samuell-Grand Park Amphitheater, and they start at 8:15. More information is available here.
