The Ackermans, Back Talk’s favorite band, will be performing at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the 2007 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at NorthPark Center (the race begins at 8). Channel 4 will broadcast the concert live, reports Sally Ackerman, who is not only one-half of the band with husband Bob, but a crack member of the magazine’s sales staff.
Then, just to show that they are truly dedicated to their art, they’ll perform at noon and 4 p.m. the same day at a chuck wagon cook off called Roundup on the Range at Myers Park in McKinney. Where, the last time I checked, we don’t have a magazine. Yet.
