It’s a school that teaches doo-wop and wah pedals, making hits and drum kits, the School of Rock Dallas. The school is giving back to the community with a benefit Saturday for Family Gateway.
The benefit and open house, from 3:30-6:30 p.m., will feature music from School of Rock students ages 7 and older.
The school requests new, unopened toys, which Family Gateway will use to stock its store of Christmas gifts for resident children. The shelter especially needs games and toys that are appropriate for teens. And they request items that do not require batteries.
The donations will be delivered to Family Gateway on Nov. 20.
