Here are some school news bites for the week:
- The Richards Group and Dallas Marathon hosted a celebratory kickoff for the Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K at Alex Sanger Elementary School this morning, a day before the Dallas Marathon. The Mayor’s Race will take place on Dec. 12. City councilman Mark Clayton was there and he shared the photo above on Facebook.
- This Thursday, Sept 17, go to Steel City Pops on Lowest Greenville and support Stonewall Jackson Elementary School. Mention Stonewall and 15 percent of proceeds will go back to the school.
- J. L. Long Middle School sent out this reminder: “Wildcat families please help us be good neighbors and considerate drivers during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Please do not drive through, drop off or park in the staff parking lot. Please do not double park at any time. Please obey the “No Parking” signs on Reiger, Paulus and Victor. Please do not park in the Bus Lane. Please do not stop in the middle of the street to let your students in or out of the car. Remember, it’s a no cell phone zone.”
