Ava Peterson – from the GoFundMe page
Lakewood Elementary plans to celebrate the life of Ava Peterson, who passed away in April. They will meet at the Barley House on June 22, from 4-6 p.m. There will be a $5 cover and 50 percent of the Barley House sales will go to help the Peterson family. You can access the flyer here. Also, the Lakewood community has set up a GoFundMe page for the Peterson family, to help pay for Ava’s medical bills.
Mata Montessori School is hosting a Meet & Greet this Thursday, June 12, 7:30-9:30 a.m. Drop in for doughnuts, coffee and discussion with campus leadership and Montessori educators, and sample some of the school’s Montessori lessons and materials. Mata is reopening as a pre-kindergarten through second-grade Montessori school this fall, and parents still have time to turn in interest forms for their children to attend. A Friends of Mata Montessori Facebook page has been created as a place for families to interact and share information.
