  • Woodrow Wilson High School alumna and state champion Grace Choi is in the news again. Check out the story we wrote about her in 2013.
  • Earlier this month, Kyle Rains hosted his birthday party and scholarship fundraiser. Last year the event raised enough to send four Woodrow students to SMU summer engineering camp in memory of Phil Rolland, class of 1976.
  • Dallas ISD’s Office of Transformation and Innovation announced its plan to launch its inaugural group of Choice Schools. As part of its Public School Choice strategy, the district plans to launch a total of 35 new Choice Schools by the year 2020. Bryan Adams High School in East Dallas was one of the first schools announced.   • Registration is now open for the 2015 White Rock Spring Games, which will take place Friday, April 17th from 5-9 p.m. Grades K-5 All students can participate. Last year, the White Rock Spring Games brought in over 8K for Lakewood Elementary. Sign up your team today at www.whiterockgames.com. The event will be at Lake Highlands Park (Buckner Boulevard and E. Lake Highlands Drive). There’s a $100 registration fee per four-member team or $25 fee for individuals; includes the popular dry-fit t-shirt.
  • Koo Koo Kangaroo, an interactive comedic dance-pop band from Minnesota, performed at Alex Sanger Elementary after its students won a GoNoodle contest sponsored by Children’s Health. Read the Dallas Morning News’ write up.
