  • On Sept. 29, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr visited Stonewall Jackson Elementary to promote the Dallas Cowboys Play 60 Challenge in conjunction with the American Heart Association. After the pep rally, twelve students were selected for one-on-one time with Carr. He posted the photos above on his Instagram.
  • Lakewood Elementary announced that it reached its goal for the Stallion Strong Campaign by raising $55,062. Lakewood Elementary also recently welcomed a new art teachers, Kathryn Maston, to the school.
  • Woodrow Wilson High School encourages anyone interested in the STEM program to join them and 3,500 other high school juniors and seniors from the North Texas Region for the STEM College & Career Expo on Oct. 30 from 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3p.m. The expo is at the Irving Convention Center, in Exhibit Hall A, located at 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd. Learn more.
  • If you plan to participate in J L Long Middle School‘s Long Run, the Early Bird Packet Pickup spots are: Luke’s Locker on Monday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Stonewall on Wednesday, Oct 8 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Lakewood on Thursday, Oct 9 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.; or at Long on Oct 14-15 from 3-4 p.m.
  • Lakehill Preparatory School announced that its Trek for Tech 16 5K and fun run will be on Nov. 8. Registration is open. Learn more here.
