Here are some school related news bites for this week:
- At the end of last week, the school board voted to place a bond program on the November ballot, allowing the voters who live in Dallas ISD to decide whether or not they want $1.6 billion bond program. Read more.
- Have some burgers and help J. L. Long Middle School. Burger House is hosting a fundraiser today, Aug. 25 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Just mention “J. L. Long buccaneer cheer” at the counter or drive thru and part of the proceeds will go to help pay for uniforms, equipment, transportation and competition.
- Victor H. Hexter Elementary is hosting a panel tomorrow, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m., for parents, guardians, teachers and staff. The panel is in the Hexter auditorium. To ask questions about the school, staff or district, email PTA president Michelle Whittaker at ML6467@yahoo.com.
