  • In the photo above, the Girl Scout troop from Alex Sanger Elementary, Troop 2333, met Polly Holyoke, the author of “Neptune Project” from Plano, this weekend at a Girl Scout work shop.
  • Lakehill Preparatory School is continuing to support the Dallas Police Department in their search for Destiny Ripka. The police are working on a multitude of leads and now have reason to believe that Destiny is in the Dallas area. A team of parents under the leadership of Karen Bunger has been mobilized to post fliers throughout the city.
  • The Lakewood Home Festival is this weekend. Don’t forget to grab tickets to the auction party while they’re available. Also, the LECPTA is still looking for volunteers to help with the home festival weekend. Learn more.
  • Coming up on Nov. 20 is William Lipscomb Elementary‘s 6th Annual Silent Auction at Times Ten Cellars (6324 Prospect) from 6:30-9 p.m. All proceeds go to the kids at Lipscomb.
  • Woodrow Wilson High School is hosing an Open House next week on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Apparently lice are in season. Dallas ISD asks that you check you child’s hair every few weeks to catch infestations early because children are no longer excluded from school if they have lice. Read more.
