The Santa Fe Trail will be finished in August, which means runners and cyclists will be able to take it from Deep Ellum to White Rock Lake. But most of the trail has been open for about a year now, and the Friends of Santa Fe Trail are showing it off Sunday.
The group, which raises funds for extras on the trail such as lighting and benches, is hosting a bike ride from Main Street Garden Park downtown to the Lakewood Theater Sunday during Lakewoodstock. It’s going to be a slow social ride on the trail. To join, meet the group downtown at 1 p.m.
