Sanger elementary choir received the highest score of 1 in a May 13 competition at Sandy Lake Amusement Park. The competition included schools from all over Texas and Oklahoma, and Sanger was the only school to receive a score of 1.
The choir, which is composed of kindergarten through fifth-grade students and directed by Glenda Brown, performed “Wooden Heart” and “You Could Be My Friend”. The choir featured soloist Tara Magill and violinist Van Hamilton.
