Lots of new businesses have opened in Deep Ellum recently. Rock And Roll Tacos made a big splash when it opened last week for example. But one new place in Deep Ellum has them all beat for uniqueness.
Sandbar Cantina and Grill is now open at 317 S. Second. It’s a bar and grill with a downtown view and sand volleyball courts. Neighborhood resident Steve Davis, a journalist who writes about soccer, snapped this picture.
He says the owners have plans to add a second story to the building and a swimming pool, but it’s open for business with drinks and views.
League play is already going at Sandbar, and there are plans to host tournaments.
