On the eighth day, God said, “Let there be tacos,” and they were good.

A new taqueria called Saint Taco is open on Greenville Avenue for anyone whose religion includes tacos.

The eatery is located at 5323 Greenville Ave. in the former BBBop Seoul Kitchen space, CultureMap reported. BBBop served fusion-style dishes at the location for more than 10 years, but when it was time to renew the lease, co-owner Steve Shin told the publication he wanted to try something different.

“With everything that’s going on with COVID right now, a taqueria seemed to make much better sense,” Shin told CultureMap. “Tacos are so much more deliverable. We had this concept in our back pocket and decided, ‘Why not do it here and now when it’s doing well in this climate?'”

Shin transformed the original BBBop in Carrollton into Saint Taco in 2013 and hopes to replicate that success in East Dallas. For now, the location will also operate as a ghost kitchen serving Korean food for takeout only. Neighbors can also make the drive to Oak Cliff to eat at the last BBBop location there.

Saint Taco serves breakfast tacos and burritos, as well as street tacos that can be ordered individually or as a meal with rice and beans. Tex-Mex plates, such as enchiladas, quesadillas and tortas, are also available.

Don’t forget about the wings, which come in 12 different flavors, such as ranch, garlic Parmesan, teriyaki and flaming buffalo.

Sides include variations of fries with queso, pico and a choice of meat.
