Home goods store At Home plans to remodel a former J.C. Penney at Timber Creek Crossing and open a location there next year, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late July and be complete by late December, according to planning documents filed with the state. The filing has not yet been approved. The store will probably open in early 2022 with spring and summer merchandise, the newspaper reported.

The building has 99,673 square feet of space, which is larger than the 85,000 square feet At Home targets for new spaces, according to the Morning News.

The warehouse-style decor store is the latest big-box retailer to join Timber Creek, located at Skillman Street and Northwest Highway. Walmart, Sam’s Club, Academy, Five Below, Marshalls and Target are also located in the center or the surrounding area.
