The band Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights continue Granada’s New Year’s Eve tradition along with Somebody’s Darling and Quaker City Night Hawks at 8 p.m. A countdown, a confetti cannon and possibly a “goaticorn” mark midnight. Tickets, $24-$80, are online.

Sundown at Granada: 214.823.8305, 3520 Greenville. Sundown’s full menu will be served starting at 5 p.m. and Treaty Oak kicks off a party, no cover charge, with drink specials from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. The band The Effinays–who reportedly appeal to reggae, hip hop, funk and rock-lovers alike–perform at 11 p.m.

The Grape214.828.1981, 2808 GreenvilleReserve a spot for New Year’s Eve dinner. Reservations start at 5 p.m. and the last seating gets a free glass of champagne to toast in the new year. The Grape is also open for Sunday brunch, and complimentary valet parking is always provided.

The Gin Mill214.824.3343, 1921 N. HendersonA New Year’s Eve masquerade party features DJs, champagne and party favors for $10. On New Year’s Day, the eatery serves brunch—items include chilaquiles and mimosas—at 11 a.m.

J. Black’s Feel Good Kitchen and Lounge:214.613.2525, 2409 N. Henderson. J. Black’s welcomes reservations for dinner and drinks starting at 7 p.m. for a classy countdown. Individual tickets go for $20, though tables can also be reserved.

Central 214′s New Year’s Eve dinner is a four-course prix fixe for $70 per person. Reservations run from 5-11 p.m. If you want to stick around after eating, there will be a flamenco guitarist, complimentary henna art, tarot card readings and a midnight toast. If you’d like to make a night and morning of it, the adjacent Hotel Palomar offers two special discounts. “Take the elevator home” gives you 25 percent off your hotel rate, and the “Cinderella” discount starts at $109 per night if you check in after 10 p.m.

Sissy’s Southern Kitchen and Bar: 214.827.9900, 2929 Henderson. Sissy’s offers “Bottle & Bucket“–a bottle of Moët and a bucket of fried chicken–for $75. You can also partake in a six-course tasting menu at $80 per person or $150 with wine pairings. Toast with complimentary champagne at midnight. Call to reserve a spot.
