A 17-year-old who admitted to twice robbing a Greenville Avenue convenience store also confessed to eight other aggravated robberies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, authorities said.
Israel Montantes is accused of robbing a 7-Eleven in the 4700 block of Greenville Avenue on Oct. 16 and Nov. 26.
He was arrested by Mesquite police Nov. 26 and has since admitted to robbing 10 convenience stores in Dallas, Carrollton, Richardson, Grapevine, Southlake, Watauga and Mesquite.
The robberies began Oct. 16 at a 7-Eleven in Carrollton. They continued until Mesquite police caught him Nov. 26 after a chase.
Montantes remains in the Dallas County jail on $340,000 bond for all charges.
