Crime in Dallas shot up Monday and Tuesday before making a steady decline closer to the end of the week.

Between Nov. 27 and Dec. 3, there were 730 property crimes, 225 violent crimes, 10 nonviolent crimes, 26 financial crimes and 572 other crimes.

Here’s what crimes have taken place over the last three days. Recently, some of the most common offenses in Lakewood and East Dallas were property-related or categorized as other.

Overall crime has been on the incline in the last three months. Property crime peaked Nov. 14 with 209 offenses, and violent crime peaked Nov. 7 with 61 offenses.

Since the beginning of the year, crime rose between February and April. A decline then popped up between the spring and fall months.

The city’s crime rate in 2019 was 41.84 per 1,000 residents. There were over 57,000 total crimes last year with 11,764 violent crimes and 45,279 property crimes.
