  • Join Dallas-based indie-rockers Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, along with Quaker City Night Hawks and the Roomsounds, for a New Year’s Eve bash at the Granada Theater. Doors open at 7 p.m. Preorder tickets online. General admission is $24, and VIP is $80.
  • Want to make one last run in 2013? Dallas Loop-the-Lake Foundation plans to do just that during their 10th annual New Year’s Eve Morning Run on Dec. 31, and they also hope to raise $10,000 for Marathon Kids while they’re at it, so plan to make a donation. They’ll start at 7 a.m. at The Lot at 7530 E. Grand.
  • The Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum is hosting the NYE Dead Celebrity Ball. So dress as your favorite dead idol and enjoy some rockin’ tunes. Entrance is $12-14.
  • Toast the new year at The Libertine Bar 2101 Greenville. They’ll be open from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Dec. 31, and then they’ll open again on 11 a.m. on Jan. 1.
  • Cafe Izmir on Greenville plans to welcome 2014 for a four-course dinner, live music and a champaign toast. See more on their Facebook page.
  • Central 214 wants to help you keep with tradition with its New Year’s Day Southern Brunch, featuring a menu of Southern-style dishes like lucky Southern black-eyed peas and corn bread, along with its other breakfast and brunch fare. Reservations available from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Jan 1. Central 214 is located at 5680 N. Central Expressway, at Mockingbird.
  • On Jan. 1, The Blue Goose Cantina will celebrate New Year’s Day by offering $2 Miller Lites from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with its brunch menu.
