Speaking of restaurants, every year my partner and I regret our foot-dragging when we hear that KRLD’s Restaurant Week has passed. We sincerely mean to make our reservation at one these fine Dallas institutions; we discuss it and debate it and pull up the website and make lists. But then something shiny distracts us and we forget.
That’s all to say: don’t be like us. Get your reservation for one of the participating East Dallas restaurants like Central 214, Hibiscus, Hector’s and The Grape. Yesterday I noticed it’s easier to get a reservation for 2 than for a larger party.
It’s happening August 17-23, with a preview August 14-16 and some restaurants extending their deals into September. If you’re not familiar with Restaurant Week, each participating restaurant offers a 3-course prix fixe dinner for $35. Some of the proceeds benefit North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope Home.
