The placeĀ opened around 2005 and was a popular hangout for restaurant industry workers, according to Crave DFW.

This is the latest in a slew of popular restaurant closures in our neighborhood. Remedy, Clark Food and Wine, C’Viche, the Lower Greenville outpost of Cafe Brazil, Knuckles, Cow Tipping Creamery and Good 2 Go Taco all have closed. Not to mention the heartbreaker, Luscher’s Red Hots, which was the short-lived dream of The Grape owner and East Dallas resident Brian Luscher.

And Thrillist recently reported, after a yearlong investigation, that there is a national restaurant bubble that is about to burst. The Thrillist report states that restaurants often areĀ catalysts for revitalizing neighborhoods and can be the victims of their own success when landlords raise their rents. The report predictsĀ that restaurants will become more expensive generally and that counter-service concepts will replaceĀ the popularity of sit-down restaurants as owners look for ways to reduce labor costs.
