Here’s a chance to get some cool art and donate to a good cause.
Reel FX Creative Studios is holding its second annual A Canvas for A Cause charity art event benefiting Children’s hospital Thursday from 7-10 p.m.
The studio gave its artists and employees 10-by-10-inch canvases, which Michael’s Stores Inc. donated, and asked them to create anything they wanted. Their canvases will be for sale at $60 each, along with those of some local and national guests artists.
All of the proceeds, including a $10 admission fee, go to Children’s hospital.
Last year, I bought a canvas as a gift for a friend, and she was very touched — it was her first fine-art gift. Plus, Reel FX raised thousands of dollars for Children’s. What a deal.
