My sister and I turned north onto Greenville from Park Lane, and as soon as we saw the "QT coming soon" sign, we both cheered.
We’re from Oklahoma, where there’s a QuikTrip on every corner — and that’s a good thing. The company’s convenience stores are the cleanest, most customer-friendly of any chain that I’ve ever tried. And the drink options are endless. Not only are their refrigerated cases stocked full of options, but the soda fountain seems miles long, and usually at least 30 coffee, cappuccino and latte flavors are available, too. OK, so maybe that’s an exaggeration, but it’s one of those things you’ll have to experience to appreciate.
The new QT is situated between Enchilada’s and Goody Goody Liquor, across the street from Sonic, in the spot where Ben’s Half Yard House once stood. I’m sure some people won’t consider a gas station an improvement over their former neighborhood bar, but give it a chance — you may warm up to it. For future reference, QT has a web group (sign up to receive coupons) and also has a good reputation for community donations (PTA moms and dads take heed).
And with RaceTrac right across the street, let the ridiculously-low gas price wars begin!
