The DISD board of trustees has scheduled hearings regarding plans to close 11 elementary schools. The meeting regarding Bonham Elementary School is at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23 at Robert E. Lee Elementary School on Delmar.
A meeting regarding James W. Fannin Elementary School is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at John F. Kennedy Learning Center on Moser.
And a meeting regarding O.M. Roberts and Mount Auburn elementary schools is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 at Eduardo Mata Elementary School.
The board is set to vote on the measure, which it estimates will save $11.5 million, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.
