Volunteers are needed for an upcoming tree planting at White Rock Hills Park.
Through the support of the Texas Trees Foundation, Dallas Park and Recreation, Atmos Energy and the City of Dallas, about 50 trees will be planted at the park.
A tree dedication ceremony was held at the Highland Road park in August. The plants will increase tree canopy in Dallas and help mitigate urban heat.
The Ferguson Road Initiative is inviting neighbors to help plant trees 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 23. To register, follow this link or scan the QR codes in the flyer below.
White Rock Hills Park is located at 2229 Highland Road.Â
