A new pavilion will provide shade and seating when it is installed at White Rock Hills Park.
The Dallas City Council approved the purchase of the pavilion Tuesday, District 9 Councilwoman Paula Blackmon said on Facebook.
It is not clear how much the pavilion will cost or when it will be installed.
The pavilion will serve as a play, work and relaxation space when it is placed at Ferguson and Highland roads. It will also provide additional seating, shelter and a meeting space.
Blackmon said the pavilion’s installation would enhance the aesthetics of other park projects, such as the completion of a trail around the park.
