We already knew Buzzbrews’ new location in the Skillman-Live Oak Shopping Center in Lakewood would be a whopping 6,000-square-feet (plus), but you don’t realize quite how much space that is until you see it in person.

Although it’s all one giant space, it’s broken into two parts — “a family friendly part and an adult friendly part,” according to founder and owner Ernest Belmore, although he says kids and adults are welcome to intermingle and use both parts.

The corporate offices are also located in the new space just above the kitchen, which is another 1500-square-feet. In the future Belmore plans to add a 4000-square-feet mezzanine for large parties.

The space is noticeably different than before, but Belmore made sure to recycle as much material as possible. For example, the kitchen bar features recycled stonework from where Belmore added extra windows to brighten the room. He also reused the old booths to build the new bar.

The new Buzzbrews has a full bar that features 33 beers (mostly local/craft), wine and other mixed drink options, and it already has wifi and features artwork by Lakewood artist Nick Mann.

Buzzbrews is a 24-hour concept, but they won’t be open 24-hours right off the bat, Belmore says. While they’re getting settled, they’ll be serving food from 7 a.m. to midnight, and the bar will be open until 2 a.m.
