The 15,000-square-foot PetSmart at Arboretum Village at Gaston-Garland-East Grand opens this Saturday, Nov. 22, says company spokeswoman Natalie DeGrand. Eventually, by March 2015, the store will house a grooming salon, training center and animal hospital, she says.
The Fresh Market opens in a little more than two weeks on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The 24,000-square-foot grocery store’s grand opening activities begin at 8 a.m. and include chef demonstrations, food sampling throughout the store and drawings for The Fresh Market gift cards. A sample-sized bag of the company’s gourmet coffee and a reusable shopping bag will be free to the first 1,000 customers.
Lakewood Ace Hardware will move from its current spot in Lakeview Shopping Center near Cane Rosso to Arboretum Village in January, a store employee says. Luke’s Locker plans to open April 1, and Digg’s Taco on March 1. The Village Salons Lakewood also just announced a March 2015 opening.
No other tenants have been confirmed for the shopping center, though real estate talk indicates La Madeleine may be a likely candidate for the restaurant space next to PetSmart.
