Hammock ham
Stella’s picture came in too late for our pet photo contest, but she coulda been a contender. Her owner, Joan Leslie, says she likes to cuddle up in the hammock and is naughty enough to steal pizza off the kitchen counter.
Scruffy love
Mike and Patti Haskins adopted their dog, Mickey, a few years ago during the end-of-season “Doggie Splash Day” at the Mesquite city pool. It’s a good thing too. He was scheduled to be euthanized the next week, and he’s been a great companion to the Haskins and their other dogs and cats.
