Gypsy, like so many cats, actually selected her owners, not the other way around. “Our little Gypsy, who we call ‘Lil G,’ wandered into our yard and into our hearts after a rough first few months on the streets,” says owner Crystal Nolan. She and boyfriend Neal Zurbriggen saw the cat limping through their McMillan Avenue property and at first thought the animal was injured. When they finally lured her inside with food, they realized she was missing her back leg. But it doesn’t slow Gypsy down one bit, she is perfectly capable of chasing off the dogs who sniff in her yard, where she spends her days soaking up the sunshine.
