Park restaurant and Bar Celine on North Henderson sold to the owners of Capitol Pub, according to a release from Donald Chick, the former owner of Park. The restaurant closed Tuesday.
We don’t know what plans the Capitol Pub people have, but when you go to the old Park website, it redirects to the url swigdallas.com. Swig? At least it’s not swingdallas dot com.
Park was a little pricey for me to have frequented it, and most of the food was not worth the price. But the atmosphere was great, and I loved the desserts there. Good news about that, though. Former Park pastry chef Keith Cedotal is now chef at MaiLai Kitchen, a Thai-Vietnamese concept Uptown.
Desserts there are $7 each and include a chocolate-peanut wonton, banana chopstick, coconut custard napoleon and mango sticky rice smash. Side Dish copped the recipe for the mango dish.
Sounds great. Maybe even worth crossing Central Expressway.
