Attention local artisans: the Dallas Arboretum has announced an open call for applications to participate in Southern Artisans Market, the arboretum’s annual arts and crafts fair.
Artists can apply once per category, and may apply in no more than two categories. Categories include painting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, drawing and many others. The show will be held October 10 and 11, during the “Autumn at the Arboretum festival” which will run September 29 through October 31.
Joy Ijams, special events coordinator for the arboretum, said she expects to choose between 50 and 60 artisans for the event, which on the same weekend last year had almost 10,000 guests. For more information, including a printable application, visit the arboretum’s website or call 214.515.6539.
